Britney Spears ' ex-husband Kevin Federline has broken his decade-long silence on his split from the pop singer.
Kevin, 44, was married to the Toxic hitmaker, 40, for two years from the years between 2004 and 2006.
Within those years, the couple welcomed two sons - Sean Preston, now 16, and 15-year-old Jayden.
Following their public split, Kevin has remained low-key when it comes to speaking out about his ex-wife, but in a bombshell interview, the father-of-two has claimed that his sons have chosen not to see mum Britney for months.
Kevin has also claimed that neither Sean Preston or Jayden wanted to attend Britney's wedding with Sam Asghari earlier this summer after her 13-year conservatorship ended.
Britney finally got her freedom back after her entire life was ruled and regulated by her father, Jamie Spears, after she was put under a conservatorship back in 2008 after her public breakdown.
Since being able to gain access on her life again, Britney has been making the most of her freedom by posting provocative and nude selfies all over Instagram, as well as calling out her family for 'abuse' and 'neglect' in recent weeks as she's finally able to use her voice again.
However, according to Kevin, their sons have been finding Britney's loud social media presence difficult to deal with.
The singer and former backing dancer, 44, has appeared in a bombshell TV interview in which he talks openly for the first time about the reality of life as the former 'Mr Spears' and his reasoning for keeping his sons completely out of the limelight amid their mums growing fame and notoriety in recent months.
In a series of exclusive and explosive interviews - some of which will be aired on ITV news this week - Kevin and his extended family reveal that Sean Preston and Jayden have not seen their famous mum for several months.
According to Kevin, it has been both Sean Preston and Jayden's own choices not to see their mum, even though her new mansion is only a matter of minutes away from their Los Angeles home.
"The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It's been a few months since they've seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding," Kevin reveals in the bombshell interview.
As well as having to face numerous parenting challenges amid Britney's globally recognised conservatorship battle, Kevin admitted that it was the hardest thing he has ever gone through having to watch his sons see it all unfold in front of their very eyes.
"This whole thing has been hard to watch, harder to live through, harder to watch my boys go through than anything else. It's been tough. It's the most challenging thing I've ever had to do in my life," the singer shared.
In recent months, Britney has been making headlines for stripping completely naked in a number of raunchy and risqué Instagram posts, and her social media presence has left an impact on her teenage sons.
Kevin explained: "They tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but at the same time, I can tell that sometimes, it hurts to be in that position. So, I made sure all my kids can come to me at any moment and discuss anything. The boys - all my kids - know that they come to me and to my wife and discuss anything.
"They're teenagers right now. You know, we talk about sex, we talk about drugs, we talk about all the things that teenagers go through. I want my kids to make all the mistakes they possibly can in my house, because[that way, I can protect them.'
Britney's loud social media presence is one reason, Kevin reveals, that his sons did not attend her recent wedding to Sam Asghari.
Despite his sons' decision to distance themselves from their mum in recent months, Kevin has insisted that both Sean Preston and Jayden still love Britney with all their hearts.
"I try to explain to them, 'Look, maybe that's just another way she tries to express herself.' But that doesn't take away from the fact of what it does to them. It's tough. I can't imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school," Kevin explained.
