Britney Spears DUI: Source Reveals Kevin Federline's Memoir Sparked Tragic Downward Spiral

Pop star Britney Spears was arrested for a DUI on Wednesday, coming after recent reports that she has been struggling personally. The incident occurred after officers observed the singer driving erratically in California.

Insiders suggest her recent struggles stem directly from a controversial tell-all book by her former husband. Kevin Federline released his explosive memoir five months ago. The publication allegedly triggered a severe emotional decline for the Grammy-winning performer.

How You Thought You Knew Triggered the Singer's Emotional Collapse

The 44-year-old musician faced increasing distress since the release of Federline's memoir, You Thought You Knew. An anonymous source explained the publication destabilised her mental state. According to the insider, 'It was the Kevin book that really sent her over the edge, and it's been downhill from there.'

The source noted these issues have been building behind the scenes. 'But the truth is, this has been going on for a while,' the confidant revealed. They added, 'Her behavior has become increasingly erratic in recent months.'

Spears felt betrayed after financially supporting her former spouse. The insider stated, 'He used her; he wanted to ruin her.' They further explained, 'And that was a really hard pill to swallow; it absolutely killed her that someone would want to damage her so much.'

Arrest and Blood Testing in Ventura County

The situation culminated on Wednesday when highway patrol officers spotted Spears swerving her BMW through traffic. She was detained in Ventura County at 9:28 p.m. local time. Following the traffic stop, authorities transported the singer to a local hospital.

Medical personnel drew her blood at the facility to determine her blood alcohol content. Officers booked the artist into custody at 3:02 a.m. before releasing her at 6:07 a.m. on Thursday. She is scheduled to appear in court on 4 May.

Shocking Allegations and the Ongoing Battle Over the Narrative

Federline, 47, included severe accusations in his recent literary release. The former dancer alleged that Spears consumed cocaine while breastfeeding and drank alcohol throughout her pregnancies. He also claimed she exhibited frightening behavior, such as standing in her sons' doorway armed with a knife.

Federline warned that his ex-wife's lifestyle was 'racing toward something irreversible.' Spears strongly denied these claims before the publication hit shelves. She took to social media to call his actions 'extremely hurtful,' while condemning the 'constant gaslighting.'

The singer publicly accused her former husband of attempting to 'profit off [her] pain.' She wrote online, 'Trust me, those white lies in that book, they are going straight to the bank and I am the only one who genuinely gets hurt here.'

Management Team Plans Immediate Intervention Following the Incident

Following the legal trouble, Spears's management addressed the situation in a recent news report. Her manager, Cade Hudson, categorised the event as an 'unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.' Hudson indicated the professional team is treating the matter with utmost severity.

'Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in a long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney's life,' Hudson stated. 'Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.'

Hudson confirmed that the singer's sons, 20-year-old Sean Preston and 19-year-old Jayden James, 'are going to be spending time with' their mother. The manager concluded that her 'loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well-being.'
