Jason Alexander has been convicted of trespassing after he attempted to crash the wedding of his ex wife Britney Spears to Sam Asghari on June 9.
Jason, 40, had managed to find his way into Britney's Californian property where she was marrying Sam, 28, before he was apprehended by security.
Britney and Jason were childhood sweethearts and married in a shotgun wedding at Las Vegas in 2005.
The pop singer's advisors were not happy with the marriage and managed to get it annulled after only 55 hours.
Jason filmed himself on Instagram Live as he slipped through the security at the wedding venue before he was tackled and subsequently arrested.
Speaking on the video, Jason is heard telling those watching: "Britney Spears invited me here. She's my first wife, my only wife … I'm here to crash the wedding."
The Associated Press has reported that Jason was convicted on Thursday, August 9 in a Californian court of aggravated trespassing and battery, two months after the incident.
The outlet reported that Jason pleaded no contest to the two misdemeanor counts and was sentenced to 64 days that he has already served.
Charges of felony stalking and misdemeanour vandalism were dropped by prosecutors, according to the AP.
Britney and Sam were granted a restraining order against Jason in the wake of his wedding crash attempt and Sam's lawyer reportedly said that Jason was not allowed within 100 yards of the couple or their home in Los Angeles.
Mathew Rosengart, Britney's lawyer, told Page Six : “Fortunately, Alexander is incarcerated and under an emergency protective order.
“I want to thank Sergeant Cyrus Zadeh, Detective Ken Michaelson and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office for their prompt and good work and look forward to working with law enforcement to ensure Alexander is aggressively prosecuted and hopefully convicted, as he should be.
"This was an outrageous security breach, which I am livid about, but fortunately Britney is safe, and she was a stunning and happy bride.”
Sergeant Cyrus Zadeh, from Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, told the PA news agency that an altercation with security officers happened and items were broken during the melee.
Sergeant Zadeh said.: “He [Jason] was able to find his way onto the property and was confronted by security.
“An altercation occurred with the security officers and that’s where the battery occurred… and during the altercation an item was broken so that’s where the vandalism comes into play.
“And by being on private property, the trespass comes into play.”
