More than eight in 10 British dog owners think their pet has psychic powers, a new study reveals.
Two thirds - 65 per cent - say they let their 'pawranormal pooch' make some decisions for them.
And exactly one in five even entrust life-changing decisions to their faithful hound, researchers found.
The survey found that 83 per cent of owners believe their pet has some sort of psychic ability or can read their mind.
More than a quarter - 28 per cent - think their dog is more intuitive than their friends.
Almost as many - 25 per cent - trust their psychic pooch's intuition more than their partner's or even their own (21 per cent).
Nearly six in ten - 57 per cent - leave it to their dog to decide the route they take on a walk.
Three in ten say they sound out their pet on what to eat while 11 per cent rely on their hound to decide whether to forgive someone who has wronged them.
For six per cent, it is up to their dog to decide whether they should buy a house they are interested in.
Swapping crystal balls for tennis balls, some owners even claim that their psychic pooch picks lottery numbers for them.
Almost a third - 31 per cent - say it is comforting to let their dog decide things for them.
The usual way for a psychic pooch to make a decision is by barking, cited by 46 per cent, or by giving a paw (43 per cent).
They are apparently most successful at predicting the weather, cited by 26 per cent.
Their track record is also said to be good at sensing something good or bad is about to happen, each cited by 22 per cent.
They can also supposedly predict pregnancy and illness (each 19 per cent) and even the gender of an unborn child (10 per cent).
And they will even sniff out an unsuitable partner (14 per cent), sports results (nine per cent), marriage proposals and job offers (each seven per cent).
Some of the 'fur-tune tellers' are supposedly so accurate that they can tell what gift a loved one would like most or when the postman is exactly one street away.
And five per cent of those polled claim that their dog has even correctly predicted the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest.
The survey of 1,000 owners was carried out by online network of pet sitters and dog walkers Rover.
Ahead of this year's Eurovision in Liverpool, Rover is searching for the UK's most psychic pooch.
Rover's canine behaviourist Adem Fehmi said: "Dogs are known for having strong senses - from their incredible sense of smell to their sensitive hearing.
"Their intuition is not something to be taken for granted either as it can be just as prominent.
"Just like humans, dogs are individuals and so the way they express their emotions and how they relay what their senses are telling them varies from dog to dog and - more common than not - circumstance to circumstance."

"If encouraging them to pick the winner, remember to not force them in any way, but to let them do it on their own terms - you may be in for a surprise!"
