Two British tourists, Craig and Lindsay Foreman, have been detained in Iran and charged with espionage after entering the country despite government warnings. The couple, both in their early 50s, were travelling on a global motorbike tour when they were arrested in January. Iranian authorities accuse them of gathering intelligence under the guise of tourism.
The judiciary's Mizan Online website states that the couple allegedly collected information across multiple Iranian provinces and were linked to foreign intelligence agencies. The Kerman judiciary chief, Ebrahim Hamidi, confirmed the charges, asserting that the Foremans had been cooperating with covert institutions associated with hostile Western nations.
