NEW DELHI: Britain's boxing government body has announced on Tuesday that its boxers will not participate at the women's world championships, scheduled to be held in New Delhi next month. It took the decision citing concerns about the sport's Olympic future.
Boxing is not on the initial programme for the 2028 Los Angeles Games, pending reforms demanded by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). And the International Boxing Association (IBA) was stripped of involvement in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
