Britain's first gay dad spends £4million on kids' Christmas gifts - including £600k flat for baby

Britain's first gay dad Barrie Drewitt-Barlow is going all-out for his four-month old baby's first Christmas, and will be showering him with lavish gifts – including a flat in Manchester.

For most people going all out at Christmas means buying a few extra toys, but for parents Tony and Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, it means going the extra mile. They definitely won't have room for all the presents under the tree.

Barrie, 52, who has seven children via surrogacy, will be spending an eye-watering £4million on his kids this Christmas.

Multi-millionaire Barrie and his fiancé Scott, 27, currently live in a £10million mansion in Florida with his ex husband Tony and his partner Brent – and they all co-parent together.

This Christmas Barrie and Tony, who are worth an estimated £175m thanks to their medical company Princeton Consumer Research, will be having a serious blowout on their family – particularly on their four-month old baby Romeo.

As if a £600,000 flat in Manchester wasn’t enough, baby Romeo will also be receiving a £475,000 Rolls Royce Cullinan to take him to nursery, a £500,000 bracelet, and a wardrobe if designer clothes.

Speaking to The Sun, Barrie said: "We have bought Romeo a lovely gold and diamond bracelet, that he can wear now and add a link to every year until he is an adult – that is something we did for all of the kids.

"He will also have lots of new clothes and hundreds of new little toys.

"It’s very hard to buy for this age as they don’t tend to do much, so we decided to buy him a £600k apartment in the same block as his eldest sister Saffron and youngest sister Valentina."

The couple’s two-year-old daughter Valentina will be getting her own personal playground build for her at the £6m mansion Barrie and Scott are building in Essex, complete with climbing frames and roundabouts.

In addition to “tons of silly little gifts”, Valentina will also receive £45,000 worth of clothes and shoes, as well as a £30,000 Tiffany bracelet.

Barrie and Tony’s daughter Saffron, 22, will be getting a brand new Lamborghini Uris SUV for £275,000.

Meanwhile, her twin-sister Aspen will be getting two new Rolex watches which cost £79,000, while her brother Orlando, 18, will be getting a £700,000 apartment in Tampa.

Their other children won’t be left out either – with 11-year-old twins Jasper and Dallas getting PS5s and £40,000 Rolex watches.

They won't be leaving out their 50 poodle dogs, as the spoiled pooches will be getting a £100,000 air conditioned playhouse.

The Drewitt-Barlows won’t just be treating their own family this Christmas. They also plan to pay upwards of £450,000 to give three strangers the chance to have surrogate babies of their own.

Barrie and Tony, who split in 2019, went to court after their eldest children Saffron and Aspen were born.

They won the right to be named as "parent one" and "parent two," instead of mother and father on the birth certificate.

In 2004 they then had Orlando, followed by twins Jasper and Dallas. Tony, who also has a son called Colin from a previous relationship, began dating Scott shortly after splitting from Tony.

Scott and Barrie went on to have Valentina in 2020, and then Romeo in 2022.
