Bristol tech consultancy Conygre acquired by Belfast IT firm Neueda

A Bristol tech consultancy has been acquired in a “multi-million dollar” deal.

Conygre provides IT software training for its global base of clients, which include the BBC, Rolls Royce, Jaguar Land Rover, Visa, Lloyds Banking Group and the NHS.

The business, launched in 1999 and named after the name of the road in Bristol where director Nick Todd used to live, has now been acquired by Neueda, by one of Northern Ireland’s most well-known digital services companies.

The two firms, who have partnered on training programmes across the world for 10 years, said the agreement would help both enhance their client portfolios in the global, financial services, telecoms, automotive and tech sectors.

Mr Todd, Conygre’s chief executive said: “Our bespoke training programmes perfectly align with Neueda’s high working standards, making the partnership extremely strategic and robust. A time-tested partnership with Neueda’s visionary pathway proves this a smart alignment in extending our joint technology skills training for customers globally.”

Neueda director and founder, David Bole added: “The [Conygre] team continues to impress us with their cloud-engineering expertise and the acquisition is part of our deliberate strategy to offer the best technology training solutions to the market. Together we will help our clients continue to future-proof their teams, strengthening employees' knowledge and commitment to their companies.”

In 2021, Neueda was bought by Dublin-headquartered IT company Version 1, creating what the Irish firm described as the largest tech businesses in Northern Ireland, with 2,000 employees, more than 500 customers and revenue forecasted at the time to be around £170m.
