The Horseshoe Pub in Downend has reopened following a six-figure renovation and has created some 15 jobs for the local community. The pub, which closed last month, has undergone a complete transformation, which includes major refurbishments to the pub's interior and outdoor areas.
Structural changes have also been made to "maximise the use of the existing space", extending the main bar to match the increased seating capacity, up by 30 covers. Plus, there is a brand new cocktail bar to enjoy.
The beer garden has been refreshed with a new covered and heated outdoor seating area, with the number of covers increased to 120. What's more, the pub is dog friendly both inside and out, so all family members can enjoy a trip to the pub.

Changes to the menu include brand new cocktails, an increased range of craft and cast ales from local suppliers and plenty of new food options.
The pub now offers small sharing plates that include the likes of bao buns, tacos and more, plus weekly offers and the return of the popular two for £14.99 deal on pub classics, weekly steak nights and Sunday roasts. The pub will be marking its reopening with a grand reopening party on Friday (June 2) which will feature DJs, stilt walkers and fire eaters.
Opening week will also see a wide range of other events, including bottomless brunch, a garden party, meet the brewer evening, Thatcher's Cider takeover and a charity cocktail in aid of Women's Refuge. Alongside seasonal events, the pub will also host regular weekly poker nights, quiz nights and monthly live music events, too.
Dan Smith, the Horseshoe's general manager, said: "With summer just around the corner, we’re thrilled to be reopening just in time for the good weather, and what better way to celebrate than with a grand reopening party for guests old and new. The renovation has brought a vibrant new energy to the pub, and being a popular pub in the local community, the Horseshoe team is really excited to show off our new and improved facilities and exciting new décor to our guests, offering our Downend guests an even better drinking, dining and social experience.”
