As with every week, Avon and Somerset Police are deploying mobile speed cameras across Bristol and South Gloucestershire this week in a bid to keep the roads as safe as possible for motorists.
One of the four biggest causes of fatal crashes on the roads is speeding, alongside mobile phone use, not wearing seatbelts, and drink/drug driving. Punishments for speeding could include penalty points, fines, a speed awareness course, a summons to court, or even the loss of the driving licence.
