Bristol City will pass CCTV on to Avon and Somerset police after confirming Swansea City supporters caused damage to the toilets inside the Atyeo Stand during Saturday's 1-1 Championship draw at Ashton Gate.
Video footage circling on social media showed a number of roof tiles on the floor leaving a large hole in the ceiling. It's the second time in a year that the toilets have been vandalised following the damage caused by Cardiff City supporters in January.
The damage was significantly less than that caused when Cardiff visited Ashton Gate at the start of the year which left the toilets unusable. The Bluebirds ended up paying for the cost of repairs.
A comment from the club confirmed there was damage during Saturday's 1-1 draw and they will hand video footage to police who will then decide whether to continue investigations into identifying any culprits. It is also unclear whether there was just one or numerous toilets damaged.
There was a heavy police presence around Ashton Gate with around 2,500 travelling supporters crossing the border to watch their side. There were 21,007 fans in attendance - the third highest in the Championship this weekend with the kick-off time pushed forward to 12pm due to the request of the police.
It's a fixture which has produced history of trouble in the past with a man jailed and banned for six years for anti-social behaviour three years ago.
There were no significant incidences reported with the general consensus that supporters were behaved around the area both before and after kick-off. One Swansea fan was ejected from the stadium during the game when he made his way onto the pitch to goad City fans after their equaliser.
The two sides shared the spoils in a tight contest after Tommy Conway put City ahead with a superb finish in the first half. Antoine Semenyo and Nahki Wells also had chances to add to the tally after their high press disrupted Swansea's possession-based tactics.
They couldn't hold onto the three points when Olivier Ntcham fired a deflected effort into the bottom corner in the second half. Despite the commendable draw, it means City have won twice in their last 10 matches with difficult tests against Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Watford in their next league outings.
