A bar venue in the centre of Bristol has lined up a number of the city’s football legends to ‘host’ the England games in the World Cup being broadcast on the big screens. Bambalan, the venue at the bottom of the Beacon Tower in The Centre in Bristol, is showing all the World Cup games on ten huge anti-glare screens, with DJs, competitions, giveaways and more.
And each England match will feature a Sky Sports presenter, plus a Bristol football figure in person at the venue. The first England game against Iran is being played next Monday lunchtime, with the kick-off at 1pm.
And fans at Bambalan will be able to watch the game with former Bristol Rovers player and manager Ian Holloway. The next two England group games and the final itself will see Bristol City legends join fans at Bambalan.

The England-USA game on the evening of Friday, November 25, will see Bristol City legend Louis Carey joining fans at Bambalan, while the final group game of England v Wales, on the evening of Tuesday, November 29, will see Bristol City legend Marvin Elliott join fans.
The World Cup Final - whether England are there or not - will see Bristol City maverick Lee Trundle join fans. None of the four Bristol footballing legends have ever played at a World Cup - but one has scored in a World Cup qualifier.
Marvin Elliott made nine appearances for Jamaica, including his country’s only goal in a 2013 World Cup Qualifier against Panama, but Jamaica ended bottom of the final qualifying group, so didn’t make it to the 2014 finals. Bambalan is showing all the World Cup games and it’s free entry - except for the England games, where fans will be charged £30 per person for a table of six, or £50 per person for a ‘VIP table’ - with a pizza and a drink thrown in.
