Bristol Airport has issued a warning to travellers to avoid Bristol city centre due to the Killers performing at the Ashton Gate concert this evening.
A post shared to on the airport's Twitter account at 9 am ( May 26) said: "If you’re travelling to the airport through Bristol City Centre this evening, please be aware that there might be some additional traffic due to The Killers concert at Ashton Gate. Please allow additional journey times."
A crowd of up to 30,000 could well be attending, and a huge travel plan is being enacted to get as many people into BS3 from all around Bristol, the West Country and Wales.

And for those attending the concert, and anyone else living, working or travelling in the area, a number of roads will be closed near the stadium, to prevent gridlock and to allow the coaches and buses to get to the venue.
Traffic heading from South Bristol to the Cumberland Basin will be diverted around the South Bristol Link Road to the Long Ashton bypass, or over Bedminster Bridge, to avoid the Ashton Gate area, which is expected to be very busy with the concert finishing at around 10.30pm.
