Brighton make transfer stance clear on Liverpool target Yankuba Minteh

  • Liverpool have had two bids rejected by Brighton for Gambian winger Yankuba Minteh , with the highest offer reaching £60m.
  • Brighton are holding firm on a £70m valuation for the 22-year-old, using Carlos Baleba's impending £70m move to Manchester United as a benchmark.
  • Manager Andoni Iraola is keen to add genuine width to his attack before the transfer deadline, having already recruited Jeremy Jacquet, Ronald Araujo and Victor Munoz this summer.
  • Liverpool have also explored a move for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, but remain far apart from PSG's £145m valuation.
  • Iraola admitted his squad remains thin following a 2-2 draw against Newcastle, but expressed willingness to remain patient until the transfer window closes.
