Images from the shocking bridge collapse in Baltimore have sparked online comparisons to a recent film produced by Barack and Michelle Obama about a cargo ship under cyberattack. The White House has clarified that the incident involving the cargo ship colliding with Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge was not believed to be malicious and showed no signs of terrorism or cyberattacks.
Online users noted similarities between images of the collapse and a scene from the Obamas' film 'Leave The World Behind,' directed by Sam Esmail and starring Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Kevin Bacon, and Ethan Hawke. The movie depicts an oil tanker crashing onto a beachfront amid horrified tourists.
