After months of rehab and recovery to get back on the field, Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey made his debut in aqua and orange on Sunday against the New England Patriots.
According to Pro Football Reference’s advanced metrics, Ramsey was targeted on just three of his 49 defensive snaps. Only one was completed, while he grabbed another for an interception.
On his pick, Ramsey followed Patriots quarterback Mac Jones’ eyes to make a great jump on the ball. Former NFL lineman turned analyst Brian Baldinger focused on the play for his Baldys Breakdowns on social media.
.@MiamiDolphins @jalenramsey makes this play; that not many can make. Talent; supreme talent matters. Good to have JR back in #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/7y7FDb76Te

It’s incredibly impressive to see Ramsey flip his hips and drive on the ball like this in his first game back from a meniscus injury that was supposed to knock him out for at least another month.
If he’s going to play like that when Xavien Howard and Jevon Holland return to the secondary, opposing quarterbacks are going to have a hard time moving the ball on this group.
