BREWDOG has announced plans to open a new bar in one of Scotland’s busiest train stations.
The beer company has submitted plans to council bosses for a new premises including a cold room at Waverley Station in Edinburgh.
The company’s agent has proposed internal changes to a unit in the main building of the station in Scotland’s capital.
If the application is successful, it would become the first BrewDog bar inside a Scottish train station.
The application says the company would replace the bar and gantry, internally redecorate and refurb the unit’s existing kitchen.
BrewDog also submitted plans for the installation of a cold room within the existing cellar and basements.
The new venue would seat around 70 people while the works would also include external changes such as folding doors and new signage.
There are currently three other BrewDog bars in the capital, including one inside the airport as well as in Cowgate and on Lothian Road.
BrewDog was first started in Fraserburgh by James Watt (below) and his school friend Martin Dickie.
The company already has a bar in a train station in Waterloo Station in London – their biggest UK bar.
Across two floors, it’s has a coffee station, bowling alley, co-working spaces, podcast studio and private meeting rooms.
