Brentford will make a late call on whether or not to include Christian Eriksen in their matchday squad for the visit to Arsenal this weekend, with manager Thomas Frank keen to take a cautious approach.
The Dane is building up towards his return to professional football having not played since suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch at Euro 2020 in June last year.
Eriksen played 60 minutes in a behind-closed-doors friendly against non-league side Southend United earlier this week.
Whether he takes the step up to the bench in the Premier League this weekend will be decided tomorrow, though Frank is eager not to rush Eriksen into a Bees debut.
It could be more beneficial for Eriksen to train again on Saturday rather than travel to the Emirates.
Brentford also have another behind-closed-doors friendly, against much tougher opposition, scheduled for next week in order to get the 30-year-old fully up to speed.
