The recent draft classes for the New York Jets were highly regarded by the media, especially their 2022 crop, namely their first four picks (Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Jermaine Johnson, Breece Hall). Sunday was definitely a breakout party for the rookies, especially Hall.
Hall hit 100 receiving yards and totaled 197 yards and a touchdown on 20 touches as the Jets throttled the Dolphins, 40-17, to move to 3-2. Hall told reporters after the game that the Jets rookies looked at each other and said “Bro, we’re so good.”
Yes, they are. And especially on Sunday, particularly Hall and Sauce Gardner. We already touched on Hall and Gardner had a safety and an interception. Okay, so Garrett Wilson only had 27 yards on three catches. But, believe it or not, his three catches led the way Sunday and he was tied with Corey Davis with four targets.
But today was all about Hall, who had 97 yards rushing on 18 carries with a touchdown and caught two passes for 100 yards (including a 79-yard reception).
Once all these rookies really get going together, watch out. They’re going to be more than just so good, bro.
