Ben Davies has become the second Tottenham Hotspur player to be substituted with a suspected injury during the Premier League clash against Southampton. The Welsh defender received treatment on the pitch after falling to the ground before being replaced by Ivan Perisic in the 37th minute.
Davies went down holding his right leg and received treatment on his hamstring. Depending on the severity of the injury, the Welsh defender could be sidelined for a number of weeks if he has torn the muscle.
The 29-year-old did not seem to be in too much discomfort, suggesting it may only be a muscle strain.

Antonio Conte had already had to take off Richarlison after the Brazilian limped off the pitch in tears as he was replaced by Dejan Kulusevski at the St. Mary's Stadium. This comes as a yet another setback for the 25-year-old after he had started showing some more impressive form for Conte's side after a hamstring injury plagued his start to the season.
Despite their injury concerns, Spurs have taken the lead against Saints through January signing Pedro Porro. Son Heung-min's brilliant pass found the Spaniard inside the penalty box as he lashed the ball beyond Gavin Bazunu to give the visitors a 1-0 lead at half-time.
Conte will hope that both Richarlison and Davies have not suffered long-term injuries as the Lilywhites look to leapfrog Manchester United into third place in the Premier League table with a win this afternoon.
The Italian will hope that his team can avoid further injury concerns before the international break as they look to take a strong grip on the top four and Champions League qualification for next season.
