A man has been found dead on the tracks near a train station in Salford.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Eccles station at around 10.50pm last night (February 2). They were called to 'reports of a casualty on the tracks'.
Tragically, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious, British Transport Police said.

A file in relation to the man's death will be passed to the coroner. Train services between Newton-le-Willows and Manchester Oxford Road were suspended last night as emergency services responded to the incident.
The line was reopened at around 1.45am this morning. In a statement, a spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to the line neat Eccles railway station at 10.51pm on 2 February to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, however sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
