Chelsea have confirmed they have signed Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix on loan until the end of the season. The Portugal international becomes the Blues' second loan deal of the season after Denis Zakaria joined from Juventus in the summer.
Felix, Atletico's most expensive signing ever after joining from Benfica for £113million in 2019, has five goals and three assists across 20 appearances this term. Upon heading to Stamford Bridge, the 23-year-old has extended his Atletico Madrid contract until 2027.
However, his place in the Atletico side has been uncertain as he recorded almost as many appearances from the bench as in the starting XI under Diego Simeone.
