Relief as boy, 8, missing from his primary school found after urgent police hunt

An eight-year-old boy has been miraculously found after going missing from his primary school, prompting police to launch an urgent hunt to see him returned home safely.

The youngster, named by Thames Valley Police as Aidan, vanished from Sandy Lane Primary School in Bracknell, Berkshire.

Police launched a desperate hunt for the young schoolboy who was said to have been wearing a blue jumper as well as a backpack with country flags on it.

But within hours of launching their search for him, local officers confirmed that they had located the boy, after he resurfaced at the school he had gone missing from.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson previously said: "He is described as follows: White male, 4ft tall, slim build, dark brown hair, bright blue jumper, grey trousers, backpack with a number of country flags."

They later updated: "We're happy to announce that Aidan has been located safely within the school. Thank you for your support."
