Brazilian who 'likes to attack' could be perfect Everton transfer gift for Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Getting the best out of Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be key to a successful season for Everton, so links to an attacking full-back might be a promising development.

And that's exactly what Monaco left-back Caio Henrique represents - a player who the Blues are reportedly interested in bringing to Goodison Park.

The former Atletico Madrid defender has mustered an impressive 23 assists since moving to the French principality club in 2020, including 13 last season alone. Calvert-Lewin previously enjoyed great service from Lucas Digne, before the Frenchman was somewhat controversially sold to Aston Villa, but reports via IG Esporte suggest that Frank Lampard is keeping an eye on Henrique, making a January move a possibility.

The 25-year-old Brazilian is certainly not shy when it comes to getting on the front foot. He told the Ligue 1 website : "I prefer attacking. Us Brazilians, we’re used to attacking. We love to go forward. I try to attack when I can. It’s important for me to make assists because they give you visibility and, of course, they help the team.”

Vitaliy Mykolenko has remained relatively unchallenged at left-back this season for Everton, and was excellent in the 0-0 draw at Fulham on Saturday, with Ruben Vinagre, who joined the Blues on loan from Wolves in the summer, having barely featured. Henrique recently signed a new deal that keeps him at Monaco until 2027, but the lure of the Premier League could prove too much for the flying full-back with his club poised to cash in on his development.
