A German tourist had her motorbike stolen from outside an Edinburgh B&B on Friday afternoon, with police probing the theft.
Stefanie Henschke had the vehicle stolen from outside Acer Lodge Guest House at around 4.50pm. She is visiting the capital with her husband, having travelled from Berlin.
Stefanie said the thieves also damaged her husband's motorbike, which is now not rideable.
She told Edinburgh Live the bike was a gift from her father, and said it was her "last freedom" as she is now a working mother.
She said: "It happened today, and I love the bike. It was the last present or gift from my dad. It was the last freedom and independent time on my bike as a working mum. The people here are so friendly, but these two men are a different story."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "At around 5.45pm, police received a report of the theft of a motorbike from Queensferry Road and enquiries are ongoing."
