Some 15 members of the NRLW's grand-final teams will feature in the NSW Women's State of Origin squad.

Seven Sydney Roosters and eight St George Illawarra Dragons have been named in the 22-player squad, which is headlined by joint Dally M medallists Millie Boyle and Emma Tonegato.

The squad's bolter is Sam Bremner, who didn't play NRLW this season while giving birth to her second child, but has since impressed for Cronulla in the NSW Women's Premiership.

Coach Kylie Hilder said Bremner, 30, had shown she was ready for the June 24 clash in Canberra.

"We put her into the City-Country game a couple of weeks ago and she was outstanding," she told reporters.

"It's not just what she brings on the field, it's what she brings off it.

"She brings the team really close and as you can imagine in Origin, you get limited time to bring a group of players together to go and play a game."

The joint Dally M-winners will be crucial to the Blues getting the State of Origin shield back - NSW lost 8-6 to Queensland last season.

Hilder said there was never any doubt Olympic gold medallist Tonegato would be named in the squad.

"They won those awards for reasons ... Emma had an outstanding year coming back to rugby league and she is an x-factor player at fullback there," she said.

"Millie just did what Millie does every year to be honest, she's been really good since she's changed over from Rugby Union.

"I'm excited for both those players to be part of this moving forward."

The squad will meet for their first training session on Tuesday.
