A teenager has been charged with driving offences after crashing a car into a house in Derby.
The incident occurred on Grampian Way at 2.30am on Saturday after officers spotted a vehicle that had been taken from a nearby property on the same night.
The VW Sharan collided with the house after a short police pursuit.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested at the scene. He has since been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
He has been remanded in police custody and will appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Grampian Way remains closed at the roundabout with Swallowdale Road due to the damage that has been caused following the collision. Work is also ongoing to assess the structural integrity of the buildings.
Pedestrians are warned not to approach the home and drivers told to use the diversions in place.
