An 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital following a collision between an e-scooter and a car.
The e-scooter, believed to have been ridden by the youngster, was reportedly travelling southbound on Avon Avenue in the Meadow Well area of North Shields, North Tyneside. For reasons to be established, the scooter collided with a black Ford Fiesta on Waterville Road at the junction with Avon Avenue.
The young boy was taken to hospital, where he remains with non-life threatening injuries. Police launched an investigation following the incident, which occurred at 4.40pm on Monday.
