Former world champion heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder has reportedly been arrested in the US after a gun was discovered in his car.
According to news website TMZ, police said Wilder was pulled over in Hollywood, Los Angeles, around 1.15am on Tuesday.
LAPD reportedly claimed the windows of his Rolls-Royce were illegally tinted, and his licence plate obstructed.
Police officers reportedly then carried out a search of the vehicle, after detecting the smell of marijuana.
They allegedly found both cannabis and a 9mm firearm inside the car.
According to TMZ, Wilder, 37, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a concealed weapon, but was released on bond later on Tuesday.

He later appeared to comment on the incident on social media, writing that he would “rather be safe than sorry”.
Wilder held the World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight title from 2015 to 2020.
He is expected to face long-time rival, London’s Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia this winter.
“I think Wilder’s keen,” Joshua, 33, told Standard Sport last month. “I think he’s keen finally on December in Saudi. I feel that I’m the underdog at the minute, which is a good place to be.”
