Boux Avenue Ribbed Seamless Scallop Bralette Review: "I wore this loungewear staple all day with zero complaints"

Boux Avenue bra review.

I love wearing my loungewear when I’m at home – as soon I get through the front door, I will swap into snuggly soft separates and fluffy socks. The same can be said for my bra too. Once I’m in ‘sofa mode’ I will switch out a more structured and underwired style for a softer bralette, so I was overjoyed when I discovered this seriously comfy bra from Boux Avenue.

As well as looking pretty, this flexible bralette is perfect for anybody looking for the best bras for back fat as it's seamless and sits beautifully against skin without any lumps or bumps. The bra launched earlier this year and has been hugely popular – it actually sold out within a couple of days after rave reviews across social media.

It all sounded too good to be true but I was pleasantly surprised when I tested it – it's comfy, smoothing and I love the bluebell-inspired colour. It's fast become my go-to for a low-key weekend at home. It provides just the right amount of support (and has removable cups), and the scalloped edges give it a feminine spin that adds a little glamour to my outfit – even if that is my oversized hoodie and leggings combo!

I wore it for a full day, and when testing it, I considered the design, the fabric and the overall fit as well as how smoothing it was at the front and the back. Whether you're on the hunt for the best bra for large busts or just fancy adding a new piece to you off-duty wardrobe, this bra is a winning choice.

Boux Avenue Ribbed Seamless Scallop Bralette Review: Comfort & Fit

The super soft ribbed fabric feels wonderfully soft to wear and is amazingly comfortable for an off-duty day. While it wouldn't be enough hold for running to catch the bus, the gentle support kept my boobs in check much better than some other bralettes that I’ve worn in the past without feeling restrictive or tight to wear. I liked that you can remove the shaped cups as well – its good to have the option of an even softer bra.

The fabric is a stretchy yet firm mix of polyamide and elastane, and has a brilliantly breathable feel. I wore it on an unseasonably warm day and felt comfortable the whole time.

I’m a size 12, with 38B boobs and I opted for a Medium, which fitted really nicely. I’d say that the sizing is spot on and the stretch fabric kept it roomy.

As well as feeling comfy, the bra has excellent smoothing properties. The scalloped hem and seamless design meant it was invisible under a t-shirt, and the wider back cancelled out any concerns about visible back fat or over-hang. It sat sleek and neatly under clothes.

Boux Avenue Ribbed Seamless Scallop Bralette Review: Style

I absolutely loved the soft lilac-blue tone of this bralette, and it's also available in four other colours including pastel pink and powder grey. The gentle v-neck at the front was flattering on boobs and the wider back was smoothing. The cute scalloped edges gave it a really feminine feel too.

Boux Avenue Ribbed Seamless Scallop Bralette Review: Care

Because of the super flexible and non-wired design, this bralette can easily be washed in the machine without any worries. It held its shape well and felt just as soft after I cleaned it. The fabric was very quick drying too.

Boux Avenue Ribbed Seamless Scallop Bralette Review: Verdict

I spend a lot of time in my loungewear when I’m home, and this super soft bralette has been a gorgeous new addition to my snuggle-wardrobe. While it wouldn’t be enough support for me to wear when out and about, it kept my chest in check nicely for a day at home and was so comfortable that I wore it from morning until night without any complaints. It sat well under a t-shirt without any tell-tale lumps or overhang and has fast become my go-to for weekend wear.
