Bristol City have received a third transfer offer from Bournemouth for Antoine Semenyo of an initial £9million plus significant add-ons, but the Robins remain hopeful that one of the Ghana international's other suitors could still come to the table.
Bournemouth had two offers rejected last week for the 23-year-old worth £8m and £10m in total, but this most recent approach appears to be edging closer to the Robins valuation and also, crucially, gives them time to use the money to bring in players before next Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Semenyo has been the subject of intense transfer speculation all month with Burnley also having an offer turned down earlier in the window while the Daily Mail have reported that Crystal Palace made an approach overnight for the Ghana international. Southampton, under Nathan Jones, have also been lurking in the background but have been reticent to bid.
