Boston’s Al Horford ‘not worried’ about Jayson Tatum’s shooting slump

More than halfway through the 2021-22 NBA season, Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum is in the worst 3-point shooting slump of his career, hitting just 31.7% on 8.2 attempts, among the worst of all high-volume shooters in the league.

While certainly not the only thing behind Boston’s uneven play this season, it is fair to say that even a slight uptick might have shifted several close games this season into the win column. Should the Celtics be worried this slump has gone on as long as it has? Speaking with the media after a loss to the Charlotte Hornets at TD Garden on Wednesday, veteran big man Al Horford didn’t seem to think so.

“I personally don’t worry about Jayson,” he explained.
