By almost all accounts, Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum‘s 54-point game against the Brooklyn Nets this weekend was one of the highest points of several such points in his still-young career, one which has seen considerable growth from the St. Louis native’s game so far this season.
The way in which Tatum went mano a mano with one of if not the greatest players currently playing in the NBA in Kevin Durant and still managed to come out on top through the help of his also-growing teammates caught the attention of the media, who asked head coach Ime Udoka what he thought of Tatum’s growth as a player postgame.
“It’s impressive,” said Udoka, trying to temper the praise for Tatum without taking away from his moment.
