Joe Mazzulla, a dedicated fan of Manchester City, finds a unique connection between the success of the English soccer team and his beloved Boston Celtics. Whenever Manchester City emerged victorious on the same day as a Celtics game, Boston went on to win 9 out of 10 times. Mazzulla's friendship with Man City manager Pep Guardiola further solidifies this bond, with jersey exchanges and mutual support at various games.
Mazzulla emphasizes the importance of coaches supporting each other, drawing on his relationships with other Boston pro coaches like Alex Cora, Jim Montgomery, and Jerod Mayo. He believes in the power of sharing experiences and advice to navigate the challenges of coaching.
