The Boston Celtics announced via press release that the ball club has signed guard JD Davison to a second two way contract after having spent the 2022-23 season in the same role with the Celtics. As is their usual manner with such things, the terms of the contract were not made public.
Boston’s 53rd overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft, Davison played 12 games at the NBA level in his rookie season with Boston, averaging 1.6 points and 0.9 assists in 5.5 minutes per game. Playing in Portland with the Maine Celtics, Davison played 44 games while putting up 13.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 7.7 assists, and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 49.7% from the field.
The Alabama native also helped to get Maine to its first G League postseason appearance in six years.
