In a recent youth camp for young basketball enthusiasts, former Boston Celtics champion big man and current Celtics broadcaster Brian Scalabrine paid a surprise visit to the Scituate Hoop School per Wicked Local. Scal’s visit was organized as a special treat for the roughly 90 attendees, who were thrilled to meet a former NBA player in person.
During his visit, White Mamba (as Scal was affectionately known during his playing days) actively engaged with the campers in basketball drills and friendly competitions. The former NBA forward showed off his expertise, offering hands-on guidance to help players improve their game. Campers looked excited and motivated to get tips from the Boston alum, who had more left in the tank than perhaps some might think at 45 years old.
The camp’s best moments with Scal were captured in a gallery by the folks at Wicked Local — to see them for yourself, check out the gallery here.
