Trabzonspor appear to have moved on from their pursuit of Borna Barisic ahead of their shot at the Champions League.
Rangers left-back Barisic recaptured his best form under Gio van Bronckhorst as he played a key role in the run to the Europa League final.
That has caught the eye of the Turkish Super Lig champions after they lifted the title for the first time since 1984 last term.
They must navigate a play-off to reach the group stage and full-back was reportedly a key area the club hoped to strengthen this summer.
Barisic was being tracked by Trabzonspor, with clubs in Serie A also keeping tabs on the 29-year-old.
However, the club look to have moved on from the Croatian international during their recruitment drive.
They have signed left-back Eren Elmali from Kasimpasa to plug the key gap in their backline as their push for the Champions League.
That could signal a stay in the Scottish Premiership for the 29-year-old, or could signal an opening for Italian sides to make their move.
Barisic was involved in Croatia's Nations League fixtures and now looks likely to return to Auchenhowie for pre-season later this month.
