Borna Barisic admits Rangers owe the fans a lot as they get ready to go to battle with Celtic.
The Light Blues are yet to defeat the Hoops under Michael Beale with his first derby draw followed up with two defeats including a 2-1 loss at Hampden in the League Cup Final earlier this year. A lot is at stake for both teams heading into Sunday's semi-final as the rivals lock horns once again. For Rangers, it is the chance to take a major step towards a first piece of silverware under the new management regime while also stopping Ange Postecoglou's men from a domestic Treble.
With one trophy in the bag and one hand on the Premiership trophy for Celtic already, Barisic is well aware of the importance on the 90 minutes in Mount Florida on Sunday as the holders bid to return to the national stadium for the end of season showpiece to face one of Falkirk or Inverness. The defender has stressed rather than talking in the build-up he would prefer to be quiet and show his actions on the pitch come kick-off time.

He told the media: "It is a big game. We know the situation in the league so it is an important game. I started to prepare from the start of the week, I know how much this means to our club and our fans. We owe the fans a lot.
"We analysed our last three games against them, and we know the mistakes we made and where to improve. Obviously, we lost, but there was some positives from the performance away at Celtic. I don't want to talk too much, I would like to be more quiet and show on the pitch.
"When the game comes, you have to be prepared for what is coming. We have confidence. I see the work behind-the-scenes to make us stronger next season. I am very positive as I see the work.
"When you have someone to compete with for your position you become a better player, everyone competes at training. Having Ridvan working hard at training everyday pushes me to be at my best.
"I don't want to talk too much about myself, but I was happy to see the Player of the Year nomination - it means a lot to me.I try to help the team a lot with my assists and continue to improve. I know I haven't been perfect and I will keep pushing hard."
