Boots set for £8bn sale as deadline looms

Boots is in line for a sale worth up to £8 billion after it set a deadline for potential buyers.

The high-street giant, headquartered in Beeston, is reportedly set to receive a number of bids in the coming hours.

Reuters reports that the owners of the business, Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), has set a deadline of Thursday, February 24.
