Beauty lovers say an £8 beauty balm sold at Boots has made their skin so soft, they've completely ditched their foundation. The £8 'miracle' beauty balm has been compared to Elizabeth Arden's £9 8-hour cream, which is a 'holy grail' product amongst women, beauty buffs and celebrities.
The £8 Revolution PRO 'miracle' beauty balm costs £21 less than the designer Elizabeth Arden cream, but has been highly commended by women who have tried it. In my experience of using Revolution PRO products, they nearly always do what they promise - despite the budget price tag.
The £8 Revolution PRO 'miracle' beauty balm has been inspired by the number one best-selling Revolution PRO Miracle Cream, which has been hailed a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury's £79 Magic Cream. This is one of my 'holy grail' products in my beauty bag, and I apply it before my makeup as a primer, for a smooth and hydrated base.
Revolution PRO's new £8 beauty balm is described as an all-in-one protectant that instantly moisturises, smooths and hydrates dry and chapped skin as well as providing protection from further irritation and dryness. The multi-tasking supercharged skincare balm calms skin from the first use and can be used on the face, lips, neck, hair, and cuticles.
It can also be applied to the cheekbones for a natural dewy finish. It is infused with a subtle Rose aroma and is enriched with skin-loving Vitamin E.
Beauty lovers are already comparing the £8 Revolution Beauty Balm to the cult £29 Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. The £8 cream, which is sold at Boots as well as the Revolution site itself, has been praised - with some of those who have tried it saying it makes skin look so flawless, they've ditched foundation altogether.
One five-star reviewer said of the £8 Revolution 'miracle' beauty balm: "This balm is great. I've used it on my lips and cheeks during the day, on my feet and hands overnight and on my face whilst in a dream room. It's on par with Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream but the tube looks more stylish and the price is a lot more reasonable. This is a product I'll be buying regularly."
A second said: "Love this product reminds of another ranges cream - brilliant on lips as well - will definitely be getting again." A third wrote: "Love this balm it’s consistency is so good I use it when my skin feels so dry and the next morning my skin feels so soft and hydrated I love the miracle pro range please don’t discontinue this."
Somebody else said of the £8 'miracle' cream: "As with the whole miracle range I now won't be without this. I use as an overnight face mask and I am now so happy with my skin I have stopped wearing foundation. I also have very curly hair and a smidge of this works wonders for frizz! What a product indeed. It really is a one product wonder."
"Love this stuff, amazing for when you need a bit of extra hydration," said another. Another beauty lover raved: "I usually use a much more expensive balm (8 hour cream) but thought I’d give this a try. I’m impressed! It works well on dry or sensitive areas of face and body. A little goes a long way. It has a light scent which doesn’t overpower. It is also much cheaper than my usual balm. I’ll definitely be buying again."
