Boots Ireland reveal the products used most by Love Island contestants including €5 serum

Boots Ireland has revealed some of this season's Love Islanders’ favourite products they’ve been using on the show.

From Shaq’s favourite cologne - Paco Rabanne One Million - to Lana’s daily serum - Elemis superfood serum - the Irish beauty retailer has given us a glimpse at what everyone uses inside the villa.

Boots is the official beauty partner of Love Island for the third series in a row and has stocked the new villa with “even more beauty and sun care products for the islanders to enjoy,” according to a spokesperson.

If you’re heading away this summer and aren’t sure of what products to pack, here are some of the top picks the Islanders keep going back to, even with reems of products available in the villa:

The Boots vitamin C moisturising cream is proving to be a popular choice among those who remain in the villa.

It promises to give you brighter-looking skin in just 14 days.

According to the Boots website: “This light texture Vitamin C moisturiser nourishes for radiant looking skin. With added Vitamin C and YUZU extract this moisturising cream is suitable for all skin types”.

One person who tried this product said: “I have been using the cream for the past year and I have zero regrets, great expectations. BEST products of Boots. I introduced to so May friends and they all love it. You can see a huge difference just be patient to see a result”.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser 200ml €38.50

Liz Earle’s cult classic, Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, is one that very few people have not tried - and made a staple in their make-up removing routine.

This deeply cleanses to remove daily grime, pollutants, and makeup (even stubborn mascara!) to reveal smoother, clearer, and brighter-looking skin.

“It’s enriched with cocoa butter, rosemary, chamomile and eucalyptus to cleanse, purify and moisturise skin, leaving it feeling comfortable, balanced and clean”.

One customer raved: “This is one of my all time favourite products! I suffer with sensitivity to lots of products on my face but the Liz Earl products are so kind to my skin and leave it feeling clean and soft”.

Boots Glow Essence Serum 28ml €4.99

This cheap and cheerful face serum is another product they’ve been raving about.

The Boots Glow Essence energises, hydrates, and refreshes skin, ”to leave skin looking brighter and feeling plumped with moisture”.

The reviews online are also very promising, with one woman writing that after four days of use, she was asking herself “where has this been all my life”.

No7 HydraLuminous Overnight Recovery Gel Cream €19.95

No7 HydraLuminous Overnight Recovery Gel Cream €19.95 (Boots.ie)

Another nightly moisturiser that is proving effective in keeping the islanders looking hydrated and healthy is the HydraLuminous Overnight Recovery Gel Cream.

This is a “cool, refreshing moisturiser which instantly infuses with fresh hydration while supporting skin's overnight repair and recovery process,” the product description claims.

“With the use of special Pollution Shield technology, it also protects against the daily environmental stresses that can dull skin's natural glow. This nourishing cream absorbs instantly into the skin for immediate, long-lasting hydration”.

This product had virtually no bad reviews, and one person said: “I can't recommend ALL of these products highly enough, only using a week and I have had so many comments on my complexion. Thank you No7 xx”.

Soltan Once Lotion SPF50+ 200ml €13.00

Soltan Once Lotion SPF50+ 200ml €13.00 (Boots.ie)

Finding the perfect sun cream can be a challenge, and there is nothing worse than having to apply it more than once a day.

The Islanders have been using the Soltan Once Advanced 8hr Protect Lotion SPF50+ 200ml, which has the highest UVA star rating.

UVA rays can penetrate deep into the skin, causing long-term skin damage and premature aging.

The UVA star rating system shows how much protection a product has, with five stars being the highest level.

One approving mum said: “Very effective. Son took it to Zante during the heatwave, forgot to apply to feet on day 1, and thus demonstrated to himself how effective the product is. He found it easy to apply and long lasting”.

17. Eye Shadow Palette 050 Glitter €6.99

17. Eye Shadow Palette 050 Glitter €6.99 (Boots.ie)

Trying to choose the perfect holiday eyeshadow palette is another painful choice - especially when you know there is every chance it could arrive smashed from being in the suitcase.

Islanders have been using the 17 eyeshadow palettes which are super compact - and small enough to throw into your handbag.

One reviewer said: “I bought this as I loved the colours. I've been genuinely surprised by the high quality of the product. Premium brands are at a lower quality and pigment than these”.
