Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler has expressed her apologies to fans who felt disappointed by her lip-synced performance of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" on This Morning.
During her appearance on the ITV talk show on Wednesday to discuss her new memoir and the 40th anniversary of the hit song, the 71-year-old singer mentioned that she never gets bored of performing the track and proceeded to give a rendition.
However, some viewers at home were skeptical, claiming that Tyler appeared to be lip-syncing along with the track. Tyler's representatives confirmed that she had to lip sync on the show due to a sore throat and that she is incredibly disappointed about it.
Her voice has since worsened, and she can hardly speak at all. They also said that Tyler usually does not lip sync and hates it, and she is looking forward to her voice returning to normal soon.
"Total Eclipse of the Heart," released in 1983 featured on Tyler's fifth album "Faster Than the Speed of Night," topped the UK charts, earned her a Grammy nomination, and is often considered one of the greatest songs of the Eighties.
