A night playing bingo for bizarre prizes in a party atmosphere that gets wilder by the minute can beat boring traditional Christmas gifts hands-down. That's the message from Bongo's Bingo, the event that has swept the nation over recent years and won itself legions of fans in Newcastle.
Now, ahead of its return with more shows in the city, it has released a jokey video advertising what it claims is an ideal festive present for fans. And that's tickets to a Bongo's Bingo show.
The video begins with a variety of characters - played by the same person - opening Christmas gifts, including socks and body spray, and looking less than impressed with what they find - until, that is, one box is found to contain tickets to the show. Also seen in the video are typical scenes from a Bongo's night out, including scenes of crowds in a singalong, dancing and confetti cannons.
