Bohemians are eager to bring their former manager Pat Fenlon back to Dalymount Park.
And arch rivals Shamrock Rovers are on the verge of securing a loan deal with Celtic’s Johnny Kenny.
But Mirror Sport understands that five-time title-winning manager Fenlon is likely to return to the Gypsies in a Director of Football capacity ahead of the new season.

Fenlon is currently the General Manager of Irish League giants Linfield, and has held that position since 2018.
Earlier this month, he was linked with a Director of Football post at newly promoted Cork City who are under new ownership, but the Dubliner won't be joining the Rebels.
Fenlon won a league and FAI Cup double as Bohs manager in 2008 and followed up with the league title in 2009.
He also won a Setanta Cup and EA Sports Cup with the Gypsies, whom he played for and lifted the FAI Cup with in 1991/92.
Bohemians appointed Declan Devine as their new first-team manager in October and later ex-Longford Town boss Gary Cronin as his assistant.
Meanwhile, Shamrock Rovers are closing in on Celtic striker Kenny who will join the champions on loan until the summer, with scope to extend it for the rest of the year.
Kenny joined Celtic from Sligo Rovers in January, agreeing a five-year contract. In August, he joined Queens Park in the Scottish First Division on loan.
