Police in the Highlands have launched a probe after a body was found on a 'secret beach' in Nairn.
Officers were called out to the Hilton of Delnies area of Nairn just after 6am on Thursday morning after reports of human remains being found on the beach. Cops discovered the body of a woman on arrival and launched an investigation.
Following the post-mortem the death is not being treated as suspicious but a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Cops say no formal identification has taken place yet.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.15am on Thursday, 25 August, 2022, police were called to the Hilton of Delnies area of Nairn, after the body of a woman was found.
“Following a post mortem, the death is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
