Police have launched a probe after a body was found on a beach in Nairn yesterday morning.
Cops raced to the Hilton on Delnies area at around 6.15am after reports of human remains being discovered.
Police say they are treating the death as unexplained whilst an investigation is carried out.
Formal identification has still to take place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.15am on Thursday, August 25, 2022, police were called to the Hilton of Delnies area of Nairn, after a body was found.
“Formal identification has yet to take place and the death is currently being treated as unexplained, pending further enquiries.”
