Body of man found in Grangemouth flat as police probe unexplained death

A police investigation has been launched into the ‘unexplained’ death of a man in Grangemouth. Emergency services were called to the property on Bowhouse Road at around 6.40pm on Monday, August 22.

A 67-year-old man was found to have passed away suddenly - sparking a probe to uncover the circumstances surrounding it. Local residents report a heavy police presence in the area with a cordon put in place round the block of flats near Islay Court.

Specialist forensic officers in white suits have been seen entering the flats while uniformed officers guard the scene. Officers remain in attendance on Tuesday morning.

A statement from the force said: “Around 6.40pm on Monday, 22 August, 2022, officers were called to a property in Bowhouse Road, Grangemouth following the death of a 67-year-old man.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing."
