A body has been found in the search for a missing hillwalker on a mountain in Argyll and Bute. The alarm was raised at around 7.05pm on Sunday, February 26, following reports that a 66-year-old man had failed to return from their planned walk on Beinn an Lochain.
Members of Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team were joined by Police Scotland and the HM Coastguard helicopter as they scoured the area for any sign of the overdue walker.
But the man’s body was sadly found around three hours later. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and his next of kin have been informed.
