The search for a man missing since yesterday has been stood down following the discovery of a body.
Brendan Kelly, aged 44, was reported missing from his home in Nenagh, Co Tipperary on Wednesday morning.
Gardai issued a missing persons appeal that night, stating that his family were “concerned for his welfare”.

They described him as being around 5’ 6” tall, of slim build and short brown hair. It was not known what he was wearing when he went missing.
A Garda spokesperson today confirmed that the missing persons appeal has been stood down following the discovery of a body in Nenagh on Thursday morning.
They thanked the public for helping trace Mr Kelly.
“Following the discovery of a body of a man in Nenagh, Co Tipperary this morning Thursday 23rd February 2023, the missing person appeal for Brendan Kelly has been stood down.
“An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance. No further media action is required and no further information is available at this time,” they said.
