Police searching for a missing man from Clackmannanshire who vanished last year have been alerted to a body in woods, officers said tonight.
A spokesperson for the force said formal identification was yet to take place, but the family of 61-year-old Kenneth Wessels, who was last seen on May 4, 2022.
Officers received a report of the body of a man having been found in a wooded area near Forestmill, Alloa, around 11.10am this morning, Monday, January 23.
Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Mr Wessels, who was reported missing from Tullibody, have been informed.
Police Scotland said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
